Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
What do I need to do to participate?
You need to submit solutions by picking a sub-theme, describing the problem being solved, the solution being provided and take a two-minute video demo (YouTube link) of your solution.
Can I apply as a part of more than one team?
You can apply for only one idea and as one team comprising of 2-4 members.
Can I submit multiple ideas?
While it is good that you have multiple ideas, you can only work on one idea for this event.
I have submitted my proposal, what are the next steps?
The proposal submitted will be reviewed by the Jury members. Shortlisted proposals/ideas will be called for the presentation of their solution/prototype in the second round. The shortlisted teams for the next round will be announced on Aug. 25.
I am selected for phase 2, will I be required to do an
in-person presentation in the second round?
Your presentation to the Grand Jury in the second round will be done virtually. Winners will be invited to participate in Converge to present and receive the award in person. More details will be shared with the finalists closer to the date.
How do you choose the winners for the challenge?
Winners will be chosen based on the following criteria:
- Significance of the problem
- Technical feasibility of the solution
- Innovation and creativity of the solution
- Impact and benefit to Walmart
- Quality of proof of concept and demo
- Scalability of the solution
If I win the challenge, will I get an internship/job
offers to work with Walmart?
Winning teams will get an opportunity to interview for internship or full-time roles with Walmart Global Tech in India. This is subject to meeting our hiring criteria.
When can I expect to hear back post the application
process?
Notification dates for application process are as stated below:
Finalists announcement: Aug. 25, 2023
Winner announcement: Sept. 15, 2023
When is the application deadline?
The last day to apply is Aug. 17, 2023.
